Saddle Bags

Given the way the seat bolted onto the frame I had to rework this in order to add some hard sided saddle bags.

Granted it takes away from the cool factor, but for me a motorcycle is more than a toy. It a functional tool that I use to commute to work. Saddle bags are a must for this.
First extend the frame using aluminum bar stock and square tubes. Light yet strong.
Another shot in progress.
Rework the hardware under the seat.
Check how everything fits together. Add dual tail lights. These are simple Peterson truck tail lights.
Check how everything fits together. Another view. Eventually I used some plastic rain gutter as an inner fender to protect the seat from water.
Trim rear cowl and set back to alow use of rear seat. Trim old front fender from a Yamaha FZ600. Add LED license plate light. Mounted turn signals on fender sub-frame.
